Kristina Hanna:

Board Member

Kristina has graduated from high school as valedictorian of her class and from university with Summa Cum Laude honors. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry with a minor in biology and a concentration in mathematics.

Kristina learned the meaning of sacrifice and selfless service to others first-hand when she lost both her parents at a young age and had to give up her personal career goals in order to raise her younger siblings. This experience left Kristina with a calling to rise above challenges, to lead by example, and to serve others before self. Currently, Kristina teaches at public school where she serves the next generation. She is married and has three children

Kristina is an American Coptic Egyptian and a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Kristina serves the Coptic community through the church.

Merna Habib:

Board Member & Secretary

Merna Habib has graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Integrative Study from GMU and is currently doing her Masters in Elementary Education as a prerequisite for her PHD in Integrative Study. Merna has five younger siblings. She has been working with kids in all grade levels and enjoys being around kids. Merna enjoys helping children acquire knowledge to become America’s future leaders. Her favorite verse from the bible that always gives her strength is: “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:13.

Merna is an American Coptic Egyptian and a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church, where she serves High school as a Sunday school Teacher.

Dr. Essam Shanoudi:

Board Member & Treasurer

Dr. Shanoudi is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a successful businessman, an investor, a philanthropist, a mentor, a brother, a husband and a father of three. Dr. Shanoudi graduated from Cairo University in 1980. He received his Master of Science in Accounting from the American University. He passed the CPA exam after he finished his Master’s Degree. In 1988, he received his Ph.D. from George Washington University and then established his accounting firm.

He is an American Coptic Egyptian and a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church. Dr. Shanoudi served as a Board Member of many churches and had a major role in establishing new churches in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Virginia. He currently serves at St. Moses Coptic Orthodox Church, Ashburn, VA, as a Board Director and Treasurer. He serves the Coptic community through the church.

Roumany Soliman:

Founder & Executive Director

Clerical Deacon: Roumany leads the Youth Ministry and serves the new immigrants at St. Moses Coptic Orthodox Church, Ashburn, VA. In 1989, he graduated from the Seminary School at St. Mark School of Theology located at St. Mark Cathedral and St. Reweis Monastery, Cairo, Egypt. In 1992, Clerical Deacon Roumany received his Master’s Degree in Theology and Coptic Studies from the Higher Institution of Theological Studies, Cairo, Egypt. After receiving his Master Degree, he served as an assistant professor for the Department of Coptic Studies at the Higher Institution of Theological Studies, Cairo, Egypt.

Roumany is an American Coptic Egyptian and a member of the Coptic Orthodox Church. He has served the youth and their families in Richmond, Maryland and Ashburn, VA, through the Coptic Church. He has 35 years of experience serving the Coptic community both in America and Egypt.
